A-B announces two-year pact with SportsChannel as only beer sponsor

In a deal that will include over 200 live telecasts a year, Anheuser-Busch, Inc., has signed a two-year agreement to become the exclusive malt beverage sponsor for each regular season Chicago Bulls, Blackhawks and White Sox telecast on SportsChannel-Chicago.

The contract began with the Blackhawks-St. Louis Blues hockey telecast on October 6, and will continue through the 1992 White Sox regular season.

The agreement with SportsChannel-Chicago calls for Anheuser-Busch to sponsor 56 Bulls games, 40 Blackhawks games and 117 White Sox games each season.

The contract will also extend into the post-season for all Blackhawks away playoff games, and for all Bulls playoff games not televised by NBC.

Anheuser-Busch also serves as the primary beer sponsor for the Chicago Cubs.
