A view to a thrill for star Brendann; Strictly Come Dancing professional to show his moves on 48-date tour.


Hot off the heels of his fourth-place finish in the Strictly Come Dancing 2013 final with partner Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Brendan Cole is about to go on an eight-week tour of the country, stopping off in Manchester, Liverpool and Rhyl.

His live show, Licence to Thrill, kicks off on January 16 and Brendan has been talking about how much he enjoyed working with Sophie.

He said: "I have had an incredible year on Strictly and to make it to the final with Sophie was a huge privilege and honour.

"She is such a beautiful dancer and a fantastic person. I have loved every minute of the past three months and it has been an absolute pleasure to be partnered with her."

The 48-date tour is a follow up to his debut theatre tour Live and Unjudged, which toured in 2013.

With all of the Ballroom and Latin favourites seen on Strictly Come Dancing, Brendan hosts, and performs in, the sleek show.

The band is led by musical director Barry Robinson and includes the vocalists Ian Mackenzie and Julie Maguire.

Brendan said: "There is a small nod to James Bond with the music. One of the big songs is Gladys Knight''''s Licence to Kill (hence the Licence to Thrill title)."

Brendan's leading lady from France Fauve Hautot has been ruled out of a return after she injured cruciate ligaments in her knee.

Stepping into Fauve's shoes is fellow Strictly Come Dancing professional Aliona Vilani.

Brendan said: "It is such a shame to not have Fauve returning to join me for the tour, however I am really excited to have Aliona stepping into her shoes.

"Having worked with her on Strictly since 2009 I know what an incredible dancer she is and I can't wait to see what she brings to the show."
