A spooktacular event.

Genisys Credit Union of Auburn Hills, Mich., sponsored the Shelby Parks and Recreation Department's "Halloween Boo Bash" at the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds. Genisys brought a costume character and metallic Halloween bags for the kids to use for trick-or-treating safely.

Kids ages 10 and younger were treated to such activities such as ghoulish games, a costume parade, frightfully fun face painting, Halloween crafts and live critters from the Nature Center. Refreshments included apple cider, donuts, hot chocolate and coffee.

"This is a great way for families to celebrate the season as well as experience another great event hosted by Shelby Parks and Recreation," said Amanda Gerhardt, Shelby Township branch manager.

Genisys has sponsored many events in Shelby Township this year, including 3D Racing's Stony Creek X-Tri, Kid to Kid Sale, Kids Summer Olympics, Lions Charity Car Show, Movie Night, Play It Safe Academy, Shelby Township Art Fair and Walk for Warmth.
