A point in the right direction.
If you tend to spend more time trying to find places than actually relaxing at your desired destination, you may be interested in the Signpost Guides. These contain suggested driving routes, maps and tips for how to get off the beaten track. There is also information on sightseeing, accommodation, dining and shopping.
Thomas Cook Publishing, which publishes the guides, has added four additional titles to the range: Tuscany and Umbria, Burgundy and the Rhone Valley, England and Wales and Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Geographical has four sets of the new guides to give away. Send your name and address on a postcard marked 'Signpost Guides' to the usual editorial address. Senders of the first four cards will receive a copy of each of the guides.
Geotraveller publishes stories on current and planned expeditions as well as keeping you updated on the latest travel news, kit and guides. If you're planning an adventurous expedition overseas and are looking for financial backing or participants to join you, please tell us -- and we'll tell our readers.
