A number of strategic changes have been implemented within the MPM Group.

A number of strategic changes have been implemented within the MPM Group. First, Berstorff and Krauss Maffei have merged their extrusion operations. The combined company covers a wider range of applications and products and, with the exception of sheet extrusion, there are no overlaps in the product ranges. For some time the two companies had been working together in several countries including the US and Russia.

In a second step, MPM Holding is being integrated into the 'new Krauss-Maffei', and Netstal Maschinen becomes a subsidiary of Krauss-Maffei. Demag Plastics Group remains an independent entity managed separately from Krauss-Maffei. This, says Demag, will allow it to develop based on its individual strengths without having to take into account the objectives and strategies of the other brands.
