A novel structure makes Parsol SLX unique.

* Parsol SLX, new from DSM Nutritional Products, is the only UVB filter available to the industry that has the novel structure of benzyl malonate chromophores attached to specific points on a polysiloxane chain. This creates a liquid-mineral UV filter that remains on the skin, where it exerts a protective effect against UVB radiation, executives at the Parsippany, NJ-based company said.

Parsol SLX can be obtained in combination with nanopigments such as micronized titanium dioxide and zinc oxide for sun care products sold in Europe. Previously, such a combination was proprietary only, executives added.
