A night on the styles; CELEBS' BIG FASH BASH FROCK STARS FIGHT IT OUT AT ELLE AWARDS.
RAVISHING Rachel Weisz bounced back to winning ways last night as she scooped the Best Actress prize at the Elle Style awards.
The pregnant star picked up her third award for movie The Constant Gardner 24 hours after missing out at the Baftas.
But while Rachel triumphed on the podium, the REAL contest was going on among the celebrity guests who were battling it out in their finest frocks.
And while some certainly turned heads, others suffered a fashion meltdown that threatened to turn stomachs.
Rachel, 34, was once again a winner in a wonderful floating black and grey creation that oozed Hollywood class.
She was neck and neck with Zoe Ball, who proved blue really IS the colour in a satin gown. Charlize Theron was another eye-opener in a figure-hugging outfit.
Runners-up on the night included Coleen McLough-lin, in a strapless summer number and Sophie Ellis-Bextor who blossomed in a flowery gown that cost her pounds 25. Sophie said: "I got it at the market. You don't have to spend a fortune to look great."
Louise Redknapp looked a million dollars in an off-shoulder midnight blue dress.
Myleene Klass marred an otherwise sexy appearance with a silly oversized leopard-print bow. Many girls look silly in a frilly, but Kirsty Gallagher had the figure to just about carry it off.
And Jamie Oliver's missus Jools was almost a bit of a dog's dinner. Luckily a gravity-defying cleavage that deserved to get the best supported actress gong saved the day.
But there were as many misses as hits at the East London bash that honoured the big hitters in the worlds of movies, TV, music and fashion.
Kelly Osbourne's voluminous outfit made her look like an extra from the Wizard of Ozzy. She admitted: "I'm starting to dress like my mum, which is worrying." And Jenny Frost seemed to have turned up in a paint-spattered dressing gown. But the frocky horror show prize was won by model Elle Macpher-son, who nevertheless got the award for Style Icon.
