A night of variety fun; BOLDMERE.

OLD folks' homes across Birmingham are being offered an evening of free variety entertainment thanks to a Sutton Coldfield theatre group.

The Boldmere-based Buccanneers Variety Artistes have been performing songs, music, comedy and magic in homes for the elderly for 55 years.

They have a few dates left open in their 2007-08 season diary and are offering their free shows to residential or warden controlled homes.

The voluntary group begins rehearsals next week and will round off their season with a fundraising show, open to the general public, next spring.
