A night at the theatre.

Byline: STEVE HOOKWAY

I LOVE to go to the theatre to see performing arts

Jacket on, collar and tie, I like to dress up smart

As we walk towards the entrance I take my dearest's arm

She looks a million dollars, her smile is such a charm

We find our seats quite easy, I always book row G

I prefer it in the Dress Circle the view is great you see

The audience soon get settled, the show is to commence

The orchestra strikes up, the sound is so immense

An outstanding vocal sends shivers down my back

A high-powered dance routine, there isn't any slack

To me this entertainment is such a joyful pleasure

The players behold abilities to share with us and treasure

The show is so soon over, the time it goes so fast

I in appreciation loudly clap the cast

My wife has had a great time, this really pleases me

So until we come again, we hold happy memories
