A moral vacuum.

Byline: GEORGE TYNDALE

BALL hoofer and all-round twerp John Terry won't exactly suffer because of the PS220,000 fine handed down to him for racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.

Terry epitomises the cult crass untouchability that pervades the modern game in the Premier League. He earns PS220,000 a week in fees and endorsements, although the latter will be harder to come by after last week's finding by an FA tribunal.

The Chelsea captain will only miss four games - ridiculously only half the ban served by Louis Suarez for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra. Terry will probably pop over to Dubai for a break in the sun. Makes you sick, doesn't it? Of course the only thing that would have hurt the ex-England player - stripping him of his beloved club captaincy - will never happen. That would require Chelsea taking a moral stand.
