A milestone at Gardams.

Another chapter in the long history of Gardam Machinery. One of the Gardam Machinery. One of the oldest Machinery suppliers in the world.

As from August 17th 1993 Mr John D. Turney who joined the Company in 1948 became the new owner and Managing Director of Gardams.

As all of our old customers will know, the Company was formed in 1860 as William Gardam & Sons. At the turn of the century became H.H. Gardam & Co (known as Gardams of Staines). In 1973 the Company moved to Colnbrook and the name became Gardam Machinery Ltd, where the main activity of the Company is to supply rebuilt Process Plant to the Food, Pharmaceutical and Confectionery Industry and Allied Trades. Since 1973 John Turney has travelled many thousands of miles in the UK and overseas seeking new business and meeting old customers, many of whom have become friends over the years.

One of our recent successes was obtaining the sole European Agency for SPAFIL Process Plant, which includes 'U' Trough Powder Blenders with Contra-Flo mixing blade. These mixers are supplied in stainless steel. Sizes range from a working capacity of 150 litres to 6,000 litres. With the double-action Ribbon Blade it can mix up to 3 times faster than the conventional machine. Sprayhoods with a complete spraying system can also be supplied. All these mixers have proved to be popular machines at reasonable prices.

Also available - Powder, Liquid and Paste Fillers, Vacuum Mixer/Emulsifier with Self-contained Heating, and Heavy Duty 'Z' Blade Mixers.

Catalogues Available

Gardams will carry on supplying Process Plant to the trade, and intend to expand their horizons to give their customers a wider choice, and attract new business, whilst still giving the same personal service that has become a hallmark of the Company.

Customers and friends that have done business with Gardams over the past 45 years since John Turney joined the Company, will also have met Mr P. R. Gardam and Mr John Du Bock. Recently, after a short illness Peter Gardam decided to retire. Regular readers of the Food Trade Review will recall that John Du Bock semi-retired some 5 years ago, but we are pleased to say that he will remain a consultant to the Company, his experience is invaluable.

If you have never contacted us before, or if you have any need now, or in the future, for rebuilt Process Plant, why not write, phone or fax us today for our current catalogue of rebuilt and new SPAFIL equipment.
