A message from the President.

Happy 2004! A New Year means New Year's resolutions. Is this a time that you pledge to lose those holiday pounds, work out more, or become a better manager? While we can't get you to the gym, PIMA can help you stay on track and successfully achieve your leadership resolution! Our goal for 2004 is to provide quality programming at the national and local levels that will add value to your job and provide you with solutions to thrive in these challenging times. We offer quality programming that includes a Joint Leadership Conference offering IT and Management tracks, interactive webcasts, management training at the Division level and more!

I hope by now that you have marked your calendar for the 2004 Joint Leadership Conference, June 27-30, 2004 in New Orleans. You might be asking, "what Joint Leadership Conference?" This year PIMA will hold both its 85th International Management Conference and the 36th Annual Information Technology Conference at the same location, simultaneously. Our theme is "Don't Just Survive--Thrive!" This exciting new format will allow attendees access to success-oriented skills, exciting crossover programming, a trade exhibit with Management and IT vendors and the opportunity to benchmark with a broader audience.

Our 2004 lineup of webcasts offers something for everyone! Topics include: Project Management, Cost and Financial Management, and Manufacturing and Reliability. Take advantage of these cost-effective, practical learning opportunities delivered right to your site from your computer. Train multiple members of your team for one low cost and minimal time off the floor--there is no limit to the number of participants per site. So, Sign Up, Log On, Join In!

PIMA recognizes the importance of bringing strong, timely management topics to the local Divisions. We have leaders in place in all of our Divisions, and they are working hard to bring value added training close to home. I encourage you to take advantage of your Division's resources as well as the valuable networking opportunities that exist. Invite a coworker or new employee along to your next Division meeting and get them involved too.

We have a very exciting year planned and your success in management excellence is our resolution. If you haven't yet renewed your PIMA membership or are considering membership but haven't sent the application in, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Fulfill your resolution and ring in the New Year with the Management Advantage!

We wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year!

It's that time of year again! Now is your last chance to renew your PIMA membership for the New Year. Don't miss out on the many valuable benefits and resources that PIMA has to offer.
