A letter from the coeditors.
This issue marks a major transition for the Journal of Advanced Academics (JOAA): We have changed publishers. JOAA (formerly known as JAA) is now being published by SAGE, one of the major publishers of academic, educational, and social science books and journals. We are very excited to be working with SAGE, and with our new publishing team, which includes Jenny Lower and Glenn Bachman.
This transition heralds a few changes to the journal. JOAA no longer requires three separate abstracts. Instead, authors should submit one APA style abstract of 100 to 150 words; the abstract should discuss the findings. The abstract and the keywords will be used to index the article. Information regarding the journal is available at the SAGE website: www.sagepub.com. Our submission system will be completely electronic and will be managed by SAGE, starting in August. To submit manuscripts from August 1 on, please go to the JOAA website on www.sagepub.com.
Finally, as our editorial term draws to a close at the end of this volume (which will contain five issues, rather than the customary four), it gives us great pleasure to introduce the new editorial team: Matthew McBee and Michael Matthews. Matt and Mike will take over as the coeditors, starting with Volume 23. Matt and Mike have been the associate editors for the journal for the past few years, and they have worked tirelessly for JOAA, so we are pleased to see them taking over the stewardship of the journal.
We are excited about the many transformations that our journal is undergoing, and we feel confident that these changes will strengthen the journal.
