A great chance now for great Reds team.
IT'S been said a few times this season that Brendan Rodgers (pictured) likes to treat the season in phases and divide games into batches for his team to concentrate upon.
Well this weekend begins the final chunk, with just four games left and our destiny in our own hands after that magnificent result against City and a truly unforgettable day in the sun at Anfield.
We're heading for the home straight now - and we should do so with our chests out, our heads held high and giving it everything we have got to get across the finish line first.
Because for me this Liverpool team deserves to be mentioned alongside the great Liverpool side of the sixties under Bill Shankly; alongside Bob Paisley's wonderful team of the seventies; and shoulder to shoulder with the great sides of the eighties when Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish later stepped into the hotseat.
I love the way that under Rodgers they've got goals in their DNA and scent blood right from the kick off, aiming not just to beat sides, but to try and demolish them.
Too often in the past we've waited ages for a goal and then thought about shutting up shop or keeping it cagey to hang on. But the boys this season have shown no fear - just lung-bursting desire. And that is just what we need in this run in.
They showed last week, as they have done time and again, that they can handle the pressure.
And that is because they are a fabulous team, playing great football and pulling together with real belief.
Look at the huddle at the end last week and the drive that Steven Gerrard's words are providing? It was inspirational stuff. So my message to them all now is to love every minute of what's happening, and go out and keep playing just as they have been doing, with energy and intent.
I firmly believe this Liverpool side is the best in England. Now they've four games left to prove it.
Just give it everything you have boys, and you'll be absolutely fine.
