A former interior minister from the Government of SDSM was discussed by the lustration commission.

A former interior minister from the Government of SDSM was discussed by the lustration commission which determined there was evidence he cooperated with the secret services considering he ordered that people be followed for ideological and political reasons. Under the lustration law, those who give such orders are liable to lustration as well. Over 3,000 former functionaries are said to have failed to provide a statement that they had not collaborated with the secret services. Nova Makedonija has learned that the abovementioned functionary is former interior minister and former presidential candidate Ljubomir Frckoski. The opposition says the selective lustration against prominent members of SDSM continues.
