The Mohatta Palace opened its museum in Karachi in 1999. It has had several exhibitions since then.

A recent event was the book launch of 'Labyrinth of Reflections: The Art of Rashid Rana 1992-2012' which was held on November 26. It was attended by Sherry Rehman, the book's editor Naazish Ata-Ullah and other prominent people from the art and literary world. The Director of the Museum, Nasreen Askari, conducted the event.

'Labyrinth of Reflections' displays Rashid Rana's best works and contains essays written by Naazish Ata-Ullah and Salima Hashmi, Hameed Haroon, Quddus Mirza, Adnan Madani, Girish Shahane, Virginia Whiles and Razia Sadik.
