A belittling NVC.
I know the NVC is an abbreviation for the New Veterans Charter and even the long name is still not the correct term. I was just wondering if anyone else has clued into those three letters.
Before this charter and going back to the late 1960s and early 1970s, NVC used to stand for North Viet Cong, the guerrilla force that, with the support of the North Vietnamese Army, fought against South Vietnam and the United States. The name is said to have first been used by South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem to belittle the rebels. Who is it belittling now? Canadian Vets.
Not that it has any relevance beside itself being a piece of crap combining a lot of preexisting programs from the old pension act as well as the main reason, saving the government money, which by now might be clear to the government that it will end up having the opposite effect. Vets are finally organizing as never before and I'm leaving out the Legion as they are not helping modern day vets, besides food banks and homeless shelters.
Anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
