A Moral Emergency: Breaking the Cycle of Child Sexual Abuse.

A Moral Emergency: Breaking the Cycle of Child Sexual Abuse Sheed & Ward, 169 pages, $10-95 paperback), by Jade C. Angelica, is an introductory handbook for religious leaders. It sets out to inform people about the problem of child sexual abuse, inviting them to be part of the solution.

Each chapter begins with personal accounts of survivors of Oft abuse. Abuse by members of the clergy is treated only briefly, not to diminish the importance of that issue, but to distinguish that this work is not about the abuser, but about the abused.

The work is carefully researched and documented. The author, whose work will continue, wisely points out that "the more we know, the more we can help."
