A LA CARTE : SUMMER PICNIC BOXES.
Every year around this time, when the Hollywood Bowl season is off and running, we're reminded that certain restaurants are readying their staffs to sell picnic boxes and/or baskets.
Here are a few to consider, whether the Bowl, the Getty or the beach is your destination. Unless otherwise noted, each box or basket feeds one person.

Boxes/baskets: Six baskets range from a simple baby greens salad, rotisserie herbed chicken and creme brulee (No. 1) to an elaborate four-course (No. 6) seafood salad basket.
Price information: Baskets cost $18.95, $19.95, $20.95, $23.95, $32 and $32.50.
Miscellaneous: Contents include napkins, plates, cutlery, bread, butter, salt and pepper.

Boxes/baskets: Five-course box dinners for two come in three choices - the Debussy, the Verdi and Albeniz. Example: Debussy consists of duck mousse pate, bistrot salad, brie with strawberries, apples and grapes, whole roasted rosemary chicken and chocolate mousse cake.

Miscellaneous: Boxes contain plates, utensils, glasses, napkins, bread, olive oil and condiments.
