A K-Klass apart.

IN AN industry of fly-by-nights and next big things, longevity in the dance scene is tough.

But one act to pull it off is Wrexham-based house duo K Klass.

From producing some of the biggest dance tracks of the 90s - five top 40 hits including Rhythm is a Mystery and the immortal anthem Let Me Show You - to their metamorphosis into two of clubland's most influential jocks, they played thelong game.

They have DJ residencies in clubs as far apart as Brighton and Aberdeen, regularly join Cream for special events including the recent Digital Love night at Nation and are alwaysin demand as producers and remixers. Tonight K Klass, aka Paul Roberts and Russ Morgan, take to the decks for Revenge at Society - and they're showing no signs of retiring.

``Because we are useless at doing anything else,''jokes Paul, 36. ``I still really love this music.''

More than 10 years since they first met at The Hacienda, back in 1988, Paul adds: ``The scene did go stale for a year or so with the superclub thing but now it's great going to clubs seeing a new generation of 18-year-olds into quality housemusic.''

K Klass tonight at Revenge,Society,Fleet Street, pounds 6 and pounds 3.50.
