A 'green choice' for home seekers.

An extensive greenery is more than enough to pique the interest of many home buyers. A patch of lush gardens and clean air often draw future homeowners to consider living in a particular district.

And with upcoming infrastructure projects that will soon connect the southern and northern areas of the metro to key business districts, more people are choosing to locate in an area where they can relish serenity and, at the same time, enjoy the comforts of modern city living.

Here are some projects that home owners might want to consider as their next investment of choice.

Calathea Place

DMCI Homes' Calathea Place offers the perfect mix of seclusion and easy access to city life.

This 1.5-ha project-located along Dr. A. Santos Ave., formerly Sucat Road, in Paraaque City-will feature four buildings that are set to offer sanctuary to future homeowners. Two towers, Zebrina and Leonia, will be both eight storeys high, while Lavender and Marantina will both rise 12 floors.

Calathea Place offers a home closer to nature with a morning view of the rising sun in Laguna de Bay, while in the afternoons, you can end your day on a comfy seat at the roof deck while watching the breathtaking sunset of Manila Bay.

Unit cuts include one-bedroom and two-bedroom units, with sizes ranging from 24.5 sqm to 41.5 sqm. Unit owners will have exclusive access to amenities including a swimming pool, roof deck gardens where they can simply enjoy some downtime with family and friends, a basketball court, the Sky Lounge, a fitness area and audiovisual areas, which are perfect for family bondings.

The Makati central business district is just 20 minutes away from Calathea Place, while the SM Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay is a mere 35-minute drive. Commercial centers such as the Alabang Town Center and SM BF Paraaque are all within reach from Calathea Place.

Transport services also abound 24/7 with routes going to the nearby NAIA, as well as adjacent key learning institutions and medical establishments.

The Lake at St. Charbel

The same atmosphere flows down to Dasmarias in Cavite City, where trusted developer Sta. Lucia Land Inc. has envisioned a lake-inspired development called The Lake at St. Charbel.

Nestled in the wealthiest local government in the province of Cavite, The Lake at St. Charbel offers 87 lakefront lots and 901 non-lake view lots for homeseekers. Price of residential lots ranges from P7,000 (nonlake view ) to P9,000 (lake view) per sqm.

The Lake at St. Charbel is located along Governor's Drive and provides access to business districts and cool getaways. Makati is just 45 minutes away via Skyway while Alabang is a mere 30-minute drive via Daanghari. It takes less than an hour to get to Tagaytay and Nuvali in Sta. Rosa.

The 28.5-ha residential community will also feature a swimming pool, picnic sheds, villas, basketball court and a clubhouse with function rooms. It will have a Lighthouse Island where residents can enjoy the skyline at night.

Kayaking at the man-made lake while enjoying the lush greenery is the best way to end a long weekend with the family. The serenity and wide-open vistas invite future residents to discover all the idyllic comforts of lakeside living at The Lake at St. Charbel.

Lakewood City

Located in Sumacab East, Lakewood City is the next best thing to happen in this agricultural city. It will feature The Villages, which comprise of the Bel Air, Bellevue, and Belgrove-each with distinctly themed landscape to fit your individual tastes and unique lifestyles.
