X FACTOR hopeful Scott Ritchie yesterday revealed fashion chain Abercrombie & Fitch had given him the sack.

The Scot - one third of boyband Times Red - told his 7200 Twitter followers he'd been axed during an online Q&A session.

The 26-year-old has set pulses racing with looks that had judge Tulisa Contostavlos comparing him with a young Richard Gere.

But that didn't save him from getting fired by A&F, whose gorgeous sales staff are called "models".

Scott let the cat out of the bag when one fan asked if he still worked for the US brand.

He replied: "No, they fired me the other week.

I was always too busy to go in."

Another fan said: "You should be like 'Oh hell no, do you know who I am?'" Scott said: "I wasn't a fan of it anyway. All a bit too fake for me. Lovely people working there tho."

The follower told Scott: "You should have made it into a massive drama like, 'Oh no you don't, I quit,' then stormed out. That sounds more like it."

Scott joked: "I shall get them to re-hire me just so I can do that. Haa."

Times Red have made it to this week's Judges' House stage of the ITV talent show, where Louis Walsh will pick the final three.
