999 hoax caller free.

Byline: SCOTT HUSSEY

A WOMAN who told police she made a spate of 999 calls after using psychic powers has escaped jail.

Joanna Lesiuk, 37, was convinced she could foresee crimes and accidents before they happened.

She made five 999 calls last year reporting what she believed to be fires and crimes at locations across Dunfermline, Fife.

At a previous hearing in March, Lesiuk pleaded guilty to making the calls.

Sheriff Court, Sheriff Isobella McColl had deferred sentence for six months.

And yesterday she admonished Lesiuk of all charges after hearing she had made no more hoaxes.

She said: "If the fire service go to an address where there is no fire then they can't attend a call where there may indeed be a fire.

"Seconds can cost people their lives,

"But as you have been of good behaviour I do now admonish these charges."
