AL AIN - The Al Ain Police have seized 79,000 porn CDs from a CD shop in Al Ain city and arrested two Asians.

Colonel Mohammed Suhail Al Rashidi, acting director of Al Ain Police Directorate of the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, said the police received a tip-off about an Asian salesman, working at the CD shop, was selling pirated pornographic CDs for Dh20 per CD.

"After verifying the information, a policeman was assigned to pose as a buyer and go to the shop to buy some porn CDs," Col Al Rashidi said.

After setting a time to hand over the CDs to the undercover policeman the police set a trap. The salesman was caught red-handed while giving the CDs to the undercover sleuth. The second suspect, who was called by the first suspect to bring the porn CDs from a room attached to the shop, was also arrested with the CDs hidden under his garment.

Col Al Rashidi said the suspect admitted to copying porn CDs to be sold to some people he knew. He confessed that there is a room belonging to the same shop where they copy the CDs. The first suspect acknowledged that his sponsor is not aware of what is going on around him.

He claimed he kept the revenues for himself while the second accused admitted that his role was to deliver the CDs to the shop against a monthly pay. Col Al Rashidi said that a room attached to the shop was raided and 79,000 pirated porn CDs and equipment used for copying the CDs were seized.
