70pc people in KP facing mental stress.

PESHAWAR -- A trauma council unit has been made effective in Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar for traumatize and mental stress patients after the incident of Army Public School.

This was said by Assistant professor Accident & Emergency Department head Dr.Abdul Wahab while talking with The Frontier Post on Tuesday. Dr. Abdul Wahab said that still in different wards of LRH around seven patients of APS incident were still admitted and they were all in good condition.

He further said that because of the APS incident which not only affected the children but as well as their parents and all other people who were visiting the LRH after the incidents they were all became traumatize and facing mental stress disease.

He added that special unit constituted in LRH which were comprising on two psychiatrics doctors , adding that the doctors will provide psychological treatment to the patients while different tactics will be use to out the traumatize patient from mental stress and became them a normal citizen of the society.

Dr.Abdul Wahab added that as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is more vulnerable to terrorism and LRH hospital is always deal bomb blast victims , adding that the APS incident not only affected on the victims families but all walks of life including journalist were affected from this incident.

He added that with the support of the government Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar will be provided physical and psychological treatment in phase 1st to the affected families and patient of APS incident while in the second and 3rd phase the hospital will also provided treatment to the other community.

He informed that because of rise flow of terrorism activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and especially in Peshawar 70 % people in Peshawar was facing mental stress, trauma and other diseases, adding that because of the situation most of the doctors in LRH were facing insomnia.

Dr. Wahab appreciated the role of LRH hospital, doctors and nurses, adding that LRH was always facing bomb blast patients while its doctors, nurses and all paramedical staff were during emergency like situation provided treatment to the entire patient and saving precious lives.
