500 COMMUNITY LEADERS TO PAY TRIBUTE AT BLACK TIE GALA
ORANGE, Calif., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 500 community leaders will pay tribute to Sister Frances Dunn, president emeritus of Saint Joseph Hospital, at a black tie gala at the Four Seasons in Newport Beach on July 24.
The excitement surrounding the gala has snowballed since the Orange County Board of Supervisors declared July 24 as "Sister Frances Dunn Day" in Orange County, in honor of her 40-year career in health care, which includes serving as chief administrator of four hospitals.
Among those attending the gala include Peter and Mary Muth, who are also members of the gala's steering committee. Mary will act as mistress of ceremonies for this special evening. Special tributes to Sister Frances will be made by Terry Belmont, president and chief executive officer of Saint Joseph Hospital and Mary Muth.
In attendance to extend their personal best wishes and thanks to Sister Frances will be: Dolly Karcher (Carl Karcher Enterprises); Richard Walker (administrative vice president for Freedom Newspapers); Patrick Sweeney (vice president of human resources, Rockwell Corp., Anaheim); Thomas Penn Jones (president and chief executive officer of Children's Hospital of Orange County); Douglas Taylor (senior regional vice president of Bank of America); and the Most Rev. Michael P. Driscoll (auxiliary bishop of Orange, who will give the invocation).
Saint Joseph Hospital invites the entire Orange County community to honor a woman who has given so much to the community she serves. Ticket prices are $75. For ticket information, call Bob Henning at 714-771-8211.
