50 Kapisa youth taught cricket skills.

MAHMUD RAQI (PAN): The Loba Sports Training Organisation (LSTO) sponsored a cricket training course for dozens of youth in the central province of Kapisa, an official said on Thursday.

During the four-day training that ended on Thursday, participants from Mahmud Raqi and other districts of the province were taught basic cricketing techniques.

Zarab Shah Zaheer, the LSTO deputy chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the participants were given shoes, uniforms and other tools.

The training focused on basic cricket skills and rules, Sport Director Inayatullah Hilal said, adding the participants would be considered for inclusion in the provincial team.

A participant from Hisa-i-Awal district, Khalid, said he was interested in playing cricket and learnt quite a few techniques of the game during the training.

The LSTO was established a year ago and has so far trained more than 800 youth from Khost, Kandahar, Kunduz and Nangarhar provinces.
