5-member Privatization Commission team to visit National Power Construction Company Saudi Arabia on December 26.

ISLAMABAD, December 23, 2011 (Frontier Star): A five-member delegation led by Federal Minister for Privatization Ghous Bux Mahar will visit fields of National Power Construction Company (NPCC) Saudi Arabia on December 26.An official of the Ministry of Privatization told that the delegation comprising four members from the ministry and one from the NPCC Lahore office, would companys fields in Madina Munawara and Jeddah.After the visit of NPCC, the ministry will get the approval of the PC Board for privatization process of the company , he added. The meeting of the PC Board, which was scheduled to be held on December 22 for approving the transactions of NPCCs privatization and the launching of shares of Pakistan Petroleum and Oil (PPL) and Gas Development Corporation (OGDC), has been delayed due to the expected meeting of the Federal Cabinet. Already 10 companies from Pakistan, Bahrain, Korea and Saudi Arabia have shown the interest in the bidding for NPCC. It is pertinent to mention here that the NPCC is a state-owned company for power generation having two fields at Jeddah and Madina in Saudi Arabia.
