Periscope

Imagine yourself in the middle of Rock in Rio far off in Brazil and you really want to share the experience of being there with the whole world. Well, if you use Facebook or YouTube you can upload a video, but what if you wanted to broadcast it live? Enter Twitter's newest app--Periscope. It basically allows anyone using an iPhone to broadcast a live video on the web instantly. It's a must-have for globetrotters as they can share their experiences with people in real time, pretty much like a news reporter. Fancy? Free--Available on iOS

Goibibo for iPhone

Goibibo has been quickly expanding its horizons and has become one the best online booking platforms based out of India as it has affiliations with 12,000 hotels through the country. Even though much is known about it, here's a bit more to understand its functionality and usage in a better way. Its new iPhone app is quite interesting because with its revamped user interface it allows you to access the best of deals throughout the year with just a single touch. If you invite your friends, the app adds 250 as credits to your account and your friend gets 2500 in his/her account. Free for iPhone

Here drive+

If you use a Windows Phone like a Microsoft Lumia, then you get no Google Maps. While travelling that can be quite disastrous when you don't know your way around town; but fret not, because Nokia's Here Drive+ is now available offering turn-by-turn voice guided navigation in 118 countries. And get this--it can be used offline, you just download the map and voila, you're good to go. Trust us, this will be of great use when you are on the road--be it the German Auto Bahn or while even traversing the central Deccan Plateau. Free on iOS, Windows Phone, and Android

Google drive

Google's Cloud locker called Drive recently received a massive update. Normally, on your phone all images get uploaded to Google + if you have enabled auto uploads on your Android phone. But who uses Google +? So when you're scouring through the massive photo library on Google+ to find that one special photo of the Vatican from your trip to Rome, you don't need to check out Google+. Now, all your Google+ photos and videos will be available inside the Google Drive app. Now just select, and share on Facebook and make your timeline jealous. Simple isn't it? Free on iOS and Android

Vyclone

Like Periscope, Vyclone is an instant video sharing solution, but it comes with an incredible twist. It is particularly useful if you are someone who is a music enthusiast, travels around the world to witness your favourite performers and like shooting concerts. Using its proprietary cloud-based video rendering technology, it can stitch together amazing videos taken from your phone with footage that is taken by others, around the same vicinity. It will magically, so we would like to believe, sync the video and audio and create a wonderful bootleg with a multicamera perspective like that of a professional camera setup, making the experience even better! Free on iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone.
