1New research out last month revealed that regular laughter can speed up wound healing, as it promotes good blood flow.

2 Another study, published in the Journal of Obesity, found that laughing burns calories.

3 Laughter reduces the levels of the stress hormone cortisol in the body, and increases the levels of 'happy hormones', such as endorphins.

4 It boosts immunity too, as it increases your number of health boosting anti-bodies.

5 We've known for a while that laughter can also increase your tolerance to pain.

It's said that children laugh on average 400 times a day, whereas adults only laugh 17 times.

So have a good laugh and boost your health!
