4th Annual Florida Tech Transfer Conference Scheduled for May 29-30, 2007 in Miami.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Florida Research Consortium and The iCoast, co-producers of the 4th Annual Florida Tech Transfer Conference, today announced the dates for the 2007 event. Hundreds of industry executives, entrepreneurs, university researchers, and investors will convene at The Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Miami, Florida on May 29-30.

"Florida's universities have made tremendous strides in research and commercialization over the past several years," said Jack Sullivan, chief executive officer and president of the Florida Research Consortium. "Deals are getting done with increasing frequency, and this Conference is facilitating those transactions. We're looking forward to showcasing exciting new developments in translational and applied research, and updating our attendees on biotechnology industry and Centers of Excellence progress in our state."

The Conference will feature a mix of keynote speeches, breakout sessions, and university and institute briefings centered on topics such as alternative and renewable energy, homeland security & defense technologies, information and communications technologies, and advancements in drug discovery and medical devices.
