4Domains, Inc. Launches Internet's First! Free Domain Name Auction Site.

PALM DESERT, Calif. -- 4Domains, Inc. announced today that they have launched their new revolutionary Domain Auction site at This is the very first domain auction site that is free of listings and transaction fees. The domain name site reflects a dog pound but for domain names thus the name: dot pound.

"We look at this site as a monument to the industry for providing a free service maintained by an ICANN Accredited Registrar to benefit the entire registrar and web hosting industry," said Chuck Steinberger, CEO of 4Domains, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of SEInc. "Our motivation initially for this site was to offer some of our larger domain customers an exit strategy for their large domain holdings. But as the project grew we realized that we could also increase the demand for registering new domain names and buying expired domain names if we provided a free auction service."

"It's important to motivate the demand for registering, selling and buying domain names for an industry that has significant profitability for both the buyer and seller," said John Palmer, CTO of 4Domains, Inc. "I am very excited to be finally rolling this site out since my development staff has been working on it for quite some time and the beneficiary of this service has been a moving target."
