44 Power Pilferers Caught Red Handed.

Lahore, June 28, 2010 (Frontier Star): Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) geared up campaign against power pilferage on the instructions of Chief Executive LESCO, Saleem Akhtar. LESCO teams headed by Surveillance & Investigation Manager Syed Saleem Akhtar raided and allegedly caught red-handed 44 power pilferers in the areas of Bata Pur, Liaqat Abad, Barki, Gulshan-e-Ravi, Bund Road, Multan Road and Allama Iqbal Town while stealing electricity by difference tactics. FIRs lodged against stealers in concerned Police Stations. Checking teams caught 13 pilferers in Bata Pur, 8 in Liaqat Abad, 9 in Barki and 14 in Gulshan-e-Ravi areas. LESCO Spokesman requested electricity consumers that if they find any pilferage of electricity, report it on toll free number 0800-84338 (THEFT), their names and addresses will be kept confidential
