4 major generals promoted.

RAWALPINDI -- Four Major Generals of the Pakistan Army have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General on Friday.

According to ISPR, the officers who have been promoted include Major General Maqsood Ahmed, Major General Zubair Mehmood Hayat, Major General Syed Wajid Hasan and Major General Najeeb Ullah respectively.

All the major generals will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General in this regard.

Chief of General Staff Lt General Waheed Arshad at the GHQ will retire on January 19 as his tenure is ending.

Sources added that all the four major generals will be promoted and will be adjusted on the vacant posts.
