4 killed, 6 injured in northern Philippine vehicular accident.

MANyLA (CyHAN)- Three Marines and a civilian personnel were killed while six soldiers were injured when the truck they were riding fell into a deep ravine in northern Philippines Wednesday morning, a military official said.

Philippine Navy spokesman Col. Edgard Arevalo said the military and civilian personnel came from a marketing duty when they figured in the accident inside the Gregorio Lim Marine Base in Ternate town, Cavite province.

Citing initial investigation, Arevalo said the M35 truck carrying the victims was traversing a zigzag road in Kantuba Hill when it encountered a brake problem.

The six injured soldiers have been brought hospital and are in stable condition, he said. (Cihan/Xinhua)
