4 container vessels arrive KPT on Friday.

KARACHI -- Four container vessels and two bulk carrier are due to reach at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Friday; however two of each bulk carriers, container vessel and tankers have acquired safe berthing at the port.

The ships due for arrival on Friday are LODESTAR GENESIS, APL GUANGZHOU, KOTA ANGGERIK, C. S. L. RIDE, OOCL DALIAN and UBS CYPRUS.

The bulk carrier LODESTAR GENESIS will discharge 13,500 tonnes of CHEMICAL, UBS CYPRUS is to load cement while others are arriving with containers on board.

The ships berthed at the port during the last 24 hours are tanker vessels M. T. KARACHI and BLUE SKY, container vessels SANTA BALBINA and APL BRISBANE; and bulk carriers TAN BINH 22 and EQUATOR HARMONY.

Two vessels STX PATRAIKOS with containers and OCEAN PRESIDENT with bulk cargo sailed out of the port during this period. BLUE SKY and RIO BRAVO are expected to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 135,098 comprising 27,627 tonnes of export cargo and 107,471 tonnes of import cargo was handled by the port during the last 24 hours.
