4 REASONS TO eat ginger.

1 Ginger contains gingerol, an essential oil, which has been used since ancient times for its antiinflammatory and pain killing (analgesic) properties. It may also help decrease nausea induced by motion sickness or pregnancy.

2 Ginger contains many essential vitamins such as pyridoxine (vitamin B6), and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5).

3 Ginger is also rich in minerals such as potassium, manganese, copper and magnesium. Potassium is an important component of cell and body fluids that helps to control your heart rate and blood pressure.

4 Ginger root slices boiled in water with lemon and honey is a popular drink to soothe a sore throat.
