3pm: PHONEY STAR IS MOBI SICK.

Byline: BY STEVE ANGLESEY

ONE Premiership striker will have to change his way of avoiding post-match interviews after being humiliated in front of a gaggle of hacks.

The former England international has patented emerging from the dressing room with his head down, talking quickly into his mobile. Which conveniently means he never has time to give the benefit of his wisdom on the previous 90 minutes.

All went to plan after one recent match as our hero strode towards the team coach gabbing into his phone and pointing to it, indicating he was too busy to talk to the assembled reporters.

Alas his mobile then rang, revealing he had been faking his 'conversation' all along. The bulky forward slunk away to a chorus of guffaws, cheers and roars of "rumbled!"
