3M RAISES DIVIDEND FOR 35TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

 ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- 3M (NYSE: MMM) today increased its quarterly dividend to 83 cents from 80 cents a share. 3M now has increased dividends for 35 consecutive years, a record matched by relatively few U.S. companies.
 Dividends are payable March 12 to stockholders of record Feb. 26. This marks the 306th consecutive quarterly payment on 3M common stock.
 As of Dec. 31, 1992, 3M had 219,034,050 common shares outstanding. There were about 115,500 shareholders of record.
