3Dlabs(R), Inc. Ltd. (Nasdaq:TDDD), the Workstation Graphics Authority, today introduced the Wildcat III 6210 and Wildcat III 6110 graphics accelerators based on 3Dlabs' third-generation Wildcat(TM) III technology. The new Wildcat III family of products raises the standard for performance, features and quality in professional 3D graphics, and further strengthens 3Dlabs' dominance as the performance pacesetter for professional graphics workstations.
Wildcat III technology continues to exploit the Wildcat ParaScale(TM) architecture by melding the geometry and raster engines into a single, high-performance, high-bandwidth, integrated chip. This boosts geometry performance by up to 65 percent, while doubling polygon performance and on-board memory bandwidth over current Wildcat products. The result is an astounding 416 MB of on-board memory capacity -- the largest ever available for an AGP add-in board -- and up to 244 percent faster performance over the nearest competitor.

The Wildcat III 6210 and Wildcat III 6110 are available immediately from leading vendors of high-performance workstations for Microsoft Windows(R) 2000 and Windows XP. (Windows NT will be supported in future driver releases.) To support these latest workstations, 3Dlabs works directly with processor vendors to ensure highly optimized performance with the latest processors, such as the Intel Pentium(R) 4 processor at 2.2 GHz and the AMD Athlon(TM) XP processor 2000+.

Engineered for Professional Applications
3Dlabs puts all products through stringent application certifications, ensuring seamless compatibility and optimal performance between card, driver and application. This enables software applications to take full advantage of Wildcat III improvements such as a twenty-fold performance increase in gradient fills -- important for improving performance with CAD applications such as Dassault Systemes CATIA, PTC ProEngineer(R), and EDS(R) Solid Edge. In addition, increased line antialiasing performance delivers faster, high quality wireframe rendering for CAD as well as DCC applications such as Discreet(TM) 3ds max(TM), Alias/Wavefront(TM) Maya(TM), and SOFTIMAGE(R)/XSI(TM).
