3DI PRODUCTIONS INC. TARGETS WINDOWS MULTIMEDIA MARKET

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Start-up software company 3DI Productions Inc. announced today that private investment funding has allowed the company to speed delivery of the first in a series of new multimedia entertainment products designed for Microsoft Windows. 3DI plans to deliver a series of disk and CD-ROM-based software beginning in the summer of 1993.
Said Bryan Brandenburg, president of 3DI, "We believe that the strong reaction of investors will be mirrored by consumers who are buying 386 and 486 computers, sound boards and CD-ROMs in record numbers. Many of these consumers are migrating to PCs from Nintendo, Sega and other game machines, and now expect similar or better quality entertainment from their new PCs."
3DI will fill these expectations by bringing the first true arcade-style products to the Windows operating environment. Says Brandenburg, "3DI's development investment in photo-realistic graphics and animation libraries will bring a new generation of fast, high-quality, action-oriented games to Microsoft Windows users. 3DI is focused on bringing to Windows sound and animation quality which does not simply equal that found in commercial arcades and home game machines, but which surpasses it."
