3AM: KAT FIGHTS WITH GORD.
NEITHER of them are famous for their even tempers and pleasantries but Gordon Ramsay was left stunned after Jessie Wallace went F-Word "crazy" on him.
The actress - who has battled booze and drug demons - had a furious bust-up with the pottymouthed chef after he joked that she "reeked of booze" when she appeared on his show.
Jessie, 34, went to the Channel 4 studios to be a diner on Gordon Ramsay's F Word but was left "fuming" after he turned to her and quipped: "You like a drink, don't you? You reek of booze."
Horrified Jessie flew into a rage, leapt out of her chair and threatened to march off the set.
"She totally flipped her lid on me," Gordon, 39, said yesterday. "I was shocked. I was laughing and joking with her, and noticed that her breath reeked of alcohol. So I made a bit of a joke about it. But she went mental.
"She stormed off, demanding to speak to her agent. She was fuming and screaming things like, 'how can you say that?' and 'I'm not famous for liking a glass of wine'.
But she is! My colleagues said: 'You shouldn't mention her drinking or bad luck with men.' But how was I to know? It stunned me. In future, I want a list of no-go areas for all the celebs we have on."
Touchy Jessie's booze and drugs problems have been well documented. In April, the tormented star revealed how she turned to drink and cocaine to cope with fame. Her lifestyle led to the odd run-in with BBC bosses during her six-year stint as Kat Slater.
And three years ago, Jessie - who has a 21-monthold daughter with ex-fiance Dave Morgan - was suspended for two months by exasperated producers. The star, who appears on Gordon's show next Wednesday, has been convicted of drink-driving twice and last time was banned for three years.
But Gordon is no stranger to controversy and has a habit of upsetting guests. Even drippy Cliff Richard told him to "go and f*** yourself" after he rubbished his wine.
Yesterday, Gordon was in central London urging holidaymakers to donate blood before they fly off. He joked: "Giving blood doesn't hurt, in fact I find it quite therapeutic. Jessie was splitting blood - maybe I should give her a call and tell her to be a donor!"
Yesterday, a spokesperson for Jessie confirmed: "She was a bit astonished that he mentioned her drinking."
BOOZE: Are you holding that glass for a friend, Jessie?
