36 agencies join Toronto Palliative Care Network.
Member service providers have agreed to adopt the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association's national principles and norms of practice for palliative care. This education will be provided through the TPCN.
The Network is developing a centralized database of palliative care services, an inventory of palliative care programs and services in Toronto and a protocol for coordinating them across four Toronto regions. This education will be provided through the TPCN.
The Chair of the TPCN is Judy Filman, Manager of the Palliative Care Unit at Princess Margaret Hospital. Frank Wagner, Manager of Client Services Toronto CCAC/East York Access Centre is Vice-Chair.
