32 POPULAR DAYTIME STARS TO APPEAR AS EMMY AWARD PRESENTERS ON THE 20TH ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS PRESENTATION

 NEW YORK and LOS ANGELES, May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Thirty-two


popular daytime personalities representing 12 different programs will appear as Emmy Award presenters during the "20th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards Presentation" "live" on the ABC Television Network, Wednesday, May 26 (9-11 p.m. ET/PT). Susan Lucci and Walt Willey will co-host the program, a co-presentation of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS).
 The two-hour star-studded program, one of the major television events of the year originates from the Marriott Marquis Hotel, New York City. Curt Gowdy Jr. will serve as executive producer and Roger Goodman as director.
 Personalities presenting Emmys are: Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn of "Days of Our Lives"; Cady McClain, Michael E. Knight, Julia Barr, Dondre Whitfield and Shari Headley of "All My Children"; Frank Dicopoulos and Melina Kanakaredes of "Guiding Light"' Jessica Collins and Lisa Peluso of "Loving"; Jon Hensley and Martha Byrne of "As the World Turns"; Kimberlin Brown of "The Bold and the Beautiful"; Tracy Bregman Recht, Peter Bergman and Melody Thomas Scott of "Young and the Restless."
 Also, Erika Slezak, James DePaiva, Susan Haskell, David Ledingham and John Loprieno of "One Life to Live." John Beradino, Jackie Zeman, Anthony Geary, Genie Francis and Antonio Sabato Jr. of "General Hospital"; Barney of "Barney and Friends"; Tom Eplin and Judi Evans of "Another World"; and Phil Donahue of "Donahue."
 The Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented posthumously to Douglas Marland by Don Hastings of "As The World Turns." He became head writer of "General Hospital," catapulting the show from ninth to first place.
 Also participating in the telecast will be ATAS President Leo Chaloukian and NATAS Chairman Michael Collyer.
 Non-televised Daytime Emmy Awards, primarily for creative arts categories, will be presented Saturday, May 22, at ceremonies at an invitational reception at the Red Lion Inn, Glendale, Calif.
 The awards eligibility period was from March 6, 1992, through Feb. 5, 1993. Nominees were made eligible for Emmys by peers of ATAS and NATAS who voted for programs and disciplines in their own areas of expertise. Votes for the awards are tabulated by the accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
