3 pm: Daniel Levy was proud.

Byline: BY STEVE ANGLESEY

TOTTENHAM owner Daniel Levy was proud to attend his nephew Jack's Bar Mitzvah on Saturday... but a bit less proud of what happened next.

First, Levy entered the Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue to discover that most of the worshippers were sporting claret and blue skullcaps in honour of their favourite team, Spurs' rivals West Ham. Worse, they'd brought one along for Levy.

Then, when Levy took part in the timehonoured ritual of removing the Torah scrolls from the Holy Ark for the Bar Mitzvah boy to read from, one wag in the congregation noted the silver fascia, silver bells and silver handles and quipped: "It must be nice for Daniel to see some silverware at last."
