3 Land Record office buildings built, 4th to complete by June 2018.
MULTAN -- New office buildings of three Land Record Centres have been built in South Punjab while the fourth one was under execution and set to complete by June 2018, officials said on Friday.
Initially, those tahsils were selected for new LRCs where rush of the people was witnessed. LRC offices have been built at tahsil Bahawalpur at a cost of Rs 38.9 million, Rajanpur (Rs 29.6 million) and Rojhan tahsil of district Rajanpur (Rs 29.65 million). The fourth office building construction was in progress at Sadiqabad under a Rs 42.15 million scheme which would be completed by June 2018.
The new buildings are spacious than previous facilities with a capacity to accommodate 200-250 persons at a time while a service counter for elderly people and women was being improved further there.
It may be noted that these LRCs were operational at temporary facilities which were insufficient to meet the needs of the people.
An automated complaint system has also been incorporated to speed up process of resolving complaints of the people.
Phone Booth have been set up at each new LRC office to enable people record their complaints/suggestions through a free call to the Helpline number.
