2nd Battalion is ready for sea. (From the Schoolhouse).

The 64 officers of the 2nd Battalion recently celebrated as they completed the Basic Qualification Course and head to their initial tours. The graduation, held on June 20, was presided over by RADM Michael Finley, Commander of the Naval Inventory Control Point.

Honor graduate and American Logistics Association Award winner, ENS Crockett Pavlik, took top honors. ENS Pavlik was also awarded both the Defense Finance and Accounting Service Excellence Award and the Navy Food Service Excellence Award. LTJG Wesley Geddings received the Navy Supply Corps Association Leadership Award. ENS Michael Stamerra received the Navy Exchange Service Command Ship's Store Award.

A relatively new tradition was continued as LT Jason Endress was honored as Instructor of the Battalion. The Instructor of the Battalion is chosen by the students of the graduating battalion and represents the instructor they feel contributed most to their professional and educational experience at NSCS.
