26 Tons Of Meatballs Recalled For Possible Wheat And Milk Allergens.
Following the July 14 recall by (https://cms.ibtimes.com/meat-recall-2019-beef-chicken-recalled-possible-metal-contamination-wheat-allergen-2806627) Fieldsource Food Systems for diced beef and chicken products that may contain a wheat allergen, (https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/recalls-and-public-health-alerts/recall-case-archive/archive/2019/recall-078-2019-release) Home Market Foods, Inc. has issued a recall for beef and pork meatballs that may contain milk and wheat allergens that were not labeled on the product.
The recall affects 53,217 pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat beef and pork meatball products that were inadvertently labeled as Homestyle Meatballs All Natural when they may contain Cranberry Stuffed Meatballs.
The recalled meatballs were produced on April 2 and packaged in 48-ounce plastic bags with Cooked Perfect Brand Homestyle Meatballs All Natural also included on the label. They have a Best If Used By date of 07/02/20.'
The meatballs also have an establishment number of EST. 2727 inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, and Rhode Island.

Consumers are urged to check their freezers for the recalled meatball packages. They should not be consumed. The affected meatballs should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Home Market Food discovered the issued after a consumer complaint that the meatballs were labeled incorrectly. The company has not received any reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of the recalled meatballs.
