255 donums in Najaf for palm trees.

NAJAF / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Agriculture Ministry has allocated 255 donums (1 donum= 2,500 square meters) for a palm tree garden in Najaf province.

"Around 4,875 imported palm trees will be planted in the garden," the Ministry said in a release on Tuesday received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

It said that the place would become the mother storage of the different types of palm trees in Iraq.
