2014 color trends: pantone revealed its 2014 color trends for home decor.

TECHNO: Colors highlighting technology's influence on design, including Emerald, Methyl Blue, Tillandsia Purple and Exuberance orange.

PHYSICALITY: Power and energy colors, balanced by hues reflecting introspection and calm. These include: Forged Iron, Lavender Herb and Fog.

Sculpted Simplicity: Sophisticated tones with nuanced undertones, including Iron. Travertine, Etherea and Silver.

FLUIDITY: Colorful but in cooling hues, it includes: Scuba Blue, Absinthe Green, Dewberry purple and orange-corals.

COLLAGE: Nostalgic and homey, colors include Tea Rose, Rhubarb. Pumpkin Spice plus tones of aqua and teal.

INTIMACY: A "marriage of adaptable warm, cool and neutral tones," the colors in this palette include Rose Cloud, Fawn and Evening Haze.

MODA: Haute couture mixed with whimsical, it includes Red Dahlia. Blackberry Cordial, Rich Gold and Amber Green.

TRIBAL THREADS: Inspired by cultural diversities, neutral shades, such as Bleached Sand and Kangaroo brown, highlight exotic tones, such as Arabesque burnt orange.

ECCENTRICITIES: Mixing of bright warm and cool tones that defy the rulebook. Try Fudgesickle brown with Strawberry Ice or Lemon Zest with neon Green Flash.
